Preservation of a Lighthouse in Monemvasia
Project: Preservation of the cultrural heritage, protection of natural stone against water, salts efflorescence and erosion, protection and decoration of joints and mortars based on natural hyraulic lime.
Lighthouses and heritage buildings near the sea are subject to harsh conditions such as salts spray and chlorides from the sea, rising damp from the ground, extreme temperatures changes during the day/nght.
Abolin's nanostructures hydrophobic impregnations and special reflective paints based on silicates and silica according to DIN 18363 & EN 1062 -1, ensure an optimum performance in terms of durability against difficult enviromental conditions and compatibility with natural building materials, such as hydraulic lime mortars.
