Cool Barrier Radiant Low emissivity radiation control interior coating system
An interior radiation control coating or radiant barrier coating is used for the sole purpose of limiting heat transfer by radiation and is not specifically intended to reduce heat transfer by convection or conduction.
Cool Barrier Radiant is aluminium colored, waterbased, low emissivity coating. When applied to building materials such as plywood, OSB or plasterboard, on the underside of the roof deck, it creates an effective radiant barrier that will stop 75% of the potential radiant energy transfer into the attic.
